BUCS HEAD 2026

What a weekend we had at UoNBC. A trip to Newcastle with a promise to perform better than last year, a goal which we succeeded at by coming 7th in the VL after coming 9th in 2025. The women’s squad achieving an incredible 4th over in the VL table which has made us very excited to see what happens at WEHORR next week.

There was incredible depth shown across the squad with the Development squad combing in a bronze in the men’’s 8+ and a gold in the women’s 4+.

The men’s lightweight quad and women’s champ quad delivered strong performances in division two to achiever 3rd place medals. The weekend was topped off by our women’s champ pair who showed some serious grit anf mature racing, achieving another bronze medal.

Thank you to all the coaches and to our boatman who helped ensure the weekend ran smoothly. Also thank you to our Secretary for organising accommodation and travel for the boathouse.
