Castra Boat Club is the official alumni boat club of the University of Nottingham. British Rowing affiliated and working with the University of Nottingham Boat Club, Castra offers a banner for alumni to row, race, and socialise under together. The objective of the club is to maintain links between the alumni and current students who were and are involved in rowing. Nottingham alumni are encouraged to get involved and race. There is no cost to be a member of the club. Crews are mostly self-organised and self-funded, borrowing equipment from clubs for specific races, but the club will help with making entries to events and with the other planning where possible.
